  • You will need the information and documents related to your work experience, education, work or residency permits, and contact details readily available to submit the online application.
  • Review the ‘Eight Qualities of Embassy Employees’ (PDF 64 KB). These qualities are essential for being a successful member of Mission Bangladesh.
  • Positions advertised to “All Interested Candidates” are open to all candidates who are Bangladeshi citizens or have the required residency permit/s for employment in Bangladesh.
  • If the job announcement states that the position vacancy is open to “USEFMs” or “Current Employees of the Mission, U.S. citizen EFMs, EFMs, and MOH – all agencies”, then you MUST be a current U.S. Mission employee or eligible family member (EFM) or Member of Household (MOH) to apply. Applicants will receive correspondence for testing processes and/or interviews via email from ERA; please be sure to provide a correct email address and review your spam or junk folder as sometimes the system notification goes into these folders.

The Embassy Human Resources Office is unable to acknowledge the receipt of your documents due to the high volume of applications received. If you do not receive a notification email from ERA within four weeks of the vacancy announcement’s closing day, it is likely that you did not qualify for the position or did not submit a complete package.  However, we encourage you to keep applying, and hope you will one day #JoinOurTeam!
